About Prescription Swim Goggles

	Goggleyed is a business set up by three friends, all in our 50s, living in the Forest of Dean, Gloucestershire. The idea of the business came about when one of our group, David, a keen swimmer with shortsighted vision, was finding it increasingly difficult to read the signage and recognise other people at the pool. He then took it upon himself to investigate the availability of prescription goggles and as a result he discovered a variety of products already in the market place. His job as a purchasing manager for a well known company led him to be convinced, however, that a product of similar quality could be sourced at a more affordable price. The three of us were chatting one day and made a decision to take on the task of finding prescription swimming goggles that would be fit for purpose but at a fraction of the cost of similar items available at that time. Thankfully we succeeded and came up with a product that we believe meets the individual needs of the swimmer at an affordable price. Friends whom we thought would benefit from using our goggles were asked to try them out and we are pleased to say that the positive feedback we received gave us further encouragement to start the business. As David says it is sheer joy, whether in the sea or the pool, to be able to see things that were previously a blur. We are now delighted to be able to say that we have supplied prescription goggles to thousands of people and again we have received only positive feedback.
